The firm
A boutique practice, built on craft.
Efficient and strategic dispute management and representation for clients in complex disputes and white-collar criminal defence.
Who we are
Techné Chambers is a boutique law practice specialising in efficient and strategic dispute management and representation for clients in complex disputes and white-collar criminal defence.
Our name, Techné, comes from the ancient Greek word for skill or craft: the mastery of applying technical know-how in a creative and innovative process.
Mastery in the practice of law takes an extraordinary level of dedication and commitment to excellence. It is what produces the results we have consistently delivered for our clients.
We understand that the practice of law is a craft. As master craftsmen, we understand that mastery requires dedication and a commitment to excellence.
How we work
A three-step approach to the right solution.
A specialised three-step approach that ensures we deliver the most appropriate solution for each client.
Step 01
Troubleshoot
We conduct a thorough assessment of each client assignment to identify the priorities, risks, and external factors relevant to the instruction. Our process involves extensive research and investigation into each relevant matter. Before we think of a solution, we make sure we understand your business, your industry, and the context, so that we can define the problem accurately.
Step 02
Strategy design
Having completed our assessment, we design a strategy tailored to the unique client need. In every dispute, each client has a different need, which may require a different approach. None of our strategies are off the shelf. We deliver the hand-made, tailored experience you deserve.
Step 03
Execution
Now you are all set. We understand the assignment, we have a plan, and you have the right team of lawyers with the expertise and skill to execute the designed strategy.
What winning means
The goal is different for every client.
A declaration that sets the record straight
For some clients the goal is a declaratory judgment that sets the record straight and protects their business reputation.
Orders that put the injury right
For others it is securing mandatory orders that rectify the injury the client has suffered.
A matter of principle
In some cases it is a question of principle. Whatever the goal, we design and execute the strategy that meets it.
“We understand that the law is the tool we use to solve our clients' problems.”
The whole dispute
Disputes do not begin in a courtroom, and rarely end there.
Our services span the entire life of a dispute, which is why we can diagnose the problem accurately and deliver the right solution.
Before the dispute
We advise clients ahead of a dispute, negotiating a non-litigious resolution where one is possible and making sure clients are better prepared and protected where litigation cannot be avoided.
In the proceedings
In litigation and arbitration we design a strategy around the client's main goal. That goal differs from one client to the next, and the strategy follows it.
Protecting what you hold
For clients who want to limit their exposure to the consequences of litigation, we advise on asset protection and on the structures best suited to their business and personal assets.
